04.28.2008We're Finally Working on a CD!
We know it's been a long time coming, but we're looking at going into Jai's basement and cranking out some new tunes for you on May 24th. We'll be laying down all of the original songs you've been hearing live (Higher, Wounds, Take Me Back, Count Me Out and You and I), plus re-mixing Breaking the Cycle a little bit. We're also going to put a couple of our worship covers on there, but we'll keep you in suspense on which ones :). HAHA! Hopefully the CD will be ready by mid to late June. We'll make sure to have an awesome CD release party! Stay tuned for details on that!
Big Shows Coming Up!
There are some big shows coming up in May! Don't miss any of them! We'll be playing alongside Article A on May 10th. You're not going to want to miss that. Those guys are amazing. We'll finally be back in the great state of New York on May 16th to rock the Safe Haven Cafe. On May 20th (Yeah, it's a Tuesday nig), we'll be playing a short set for Faith Night between innings at the Somerset Patriots game. Sweet! That one is sponsored by Teen Revolution... <-- this one has been cancelled. Rats. Anyway, don't miss the May 17th Teen Revolution show "Mission Argentina", which will raise money to help out a missons group traveling to Argentina! Check out all of the shows on the tour page for details!
We're Sort-of Looking for a Bass Player... and a Trailer... and a Practice spot
Alex isn't leaving us, but he'd like to be playing guitar for us (and he's really good at it). I (Jai) wouldn't mind just singing, mostly... so we may be looking to expand our 4-piece into a 5-piece. We're in no dire need, but we're keeping our eyes peeled. If you know anybody who could fill the spot, have them read over this ad. If they're still interested, have them contact us! We're also on the lookout for a mid-sized enclosed cargo trailer so that we won't need to travel in sepreate vehicles as a band all the time. If you see any inexpensive used trailers in our area in good condition, let us know! Also, we're going to be changing practice spots sometime in November. We don't know where to though! If you know anyone who would be so kind as to house us twice a week where we can be really loud, and if they're around the Flemington, NJ area (which will be central to everyone), let us know! If you know any bassists who fit the bill and own a trailer and live in Flemington, that'd be even better. Hey, you never know.
New Merch.... and Scooter is getting Married!
On May 31st, Scott is marrying the love of his life, the New York Rangers... I mean Yvonne (the artist responsible for our logo, and alot of our merch). Be sure to barrage him with congradulatory emails through the contact form! Speaking of Yvonne, we're going to be getting some new T-Shirts soon! They will feature this awesome design (black shirt, white print) and this awesome design (dark red shirt, white print) both by Yvonne. I can't wait! They're going to be AWESOME! Well, that's all for now. We should really update this more often, huh? We'll try! See ya at a show real soon! Jai, Scott, Alex & Victor
01.03.2008Happy New.. Song?
Yes, that's right! A new year, a new song is up on our MySpace page: Breaking the Cycle, our very first recorded song :). We've got a few more that we're working on too, so stay tuned! And, to top off the new year, we shot a video for Breaking the Cycle! Whoa! It was entirely a surprise to all of us when Alex showed up at practice with a camcorder, a flashlight, and a wicked idea that (shockingly) worked! Alex is a genius. See for yourself!

We've Signed on with Exodus Booking Agency!
That's right! We're very excited to be part of an exciting new local booking agency founded by Rafael Fernandez (of Teen Revolution... I call him Teen Rafolution). We're hoping that this new partnership will garner us some more shows and allow us more opportunities to hang out with you guys! You know, the less shows we play, the more we miss you. We don't want to miss you anymore! Do you know anyone who would think a Checkgauge show at their venue would be cool? If so, have them call Rafael! Exodus Booking Agency Phone: (973) 960-3276 www.exodusbooking.com Well, that's it for now! Hopefully we'll see you all soon. - Jai, Scott, Alex and Victor
