We're looking for a bassist

Note: We're not replacing Alex, we'd just be shifting him to guitar and Jai would just sing and occationally play some guitar.

Do you fit pretty well into this list?:

Heart for ministry and worship and loves rock
At least 2 years experience playing in band situations
Should look like you are somewhere between 20 -30 years old.
Musical influences would ideally be somewhere in this range (Foo Fighters, Anberlin, The Starting Line, Relient K, Switchfoot, Kurios, My Chemical Romance)
Spiritual/Worship musical influences would ideally be somewhere in this range (Starfield, David Crowder Band, Kutless, Kurios, Chris Tomlin, Third Day) --> not necessarily the musical style, but the HEART behind the music here
Able to practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 10pm in the Phillipsburg, NJ area ]
Vocal ability a plus (not necessary)
Ability to play shows on Friday nights (localish), Saturdays and Sundays.

Checkgauge:

Writes and performs originals
Writes and performs worship songs, but really we turn them into rock songs while maintaining teh heart of worship
Sounds something like Anberlin, My Chemical Romance, Relient K, Switchfoot
Plays at least 1/3 of each show as corporate rock worship
Plays some covers.
Plays with excellence, has fun, and leads worship by being lead worshipers.
Studys the Bible together once a week (before practice).
Serves the venues/promoters by being above and beyond what they would expect (when possible, we help clean up, move chairs back, etc.)
Prays about a bunch of stuff
Responds to people via our MySpace page (www.myspace.com/checkgauge) and Website (www.checkgauge.net) whenever possible, especially when questions about Christ arise.
Trys to get into festivals, battle of the bands, etc.

At the heart of it, we're a rock worship band with originals. We want to be part of a completely genuine servanthood ministry. It takes a big commitment to be a part of this. Please consider that prayerfully before sending an e-mail.
